  This was our first and last visit to a NY&Co store. My fiancée was looking for some new work pants, she found two that she liked, and asked an employee for the fitting room. I walked back to the entrance to wait for her, knowing it's a women's store and I didn't have any business in the fitting room area. The lady opened the door for her and walked out, seeing me standing outside the fitting rooms area as she went by. About 10 minutes goes by and no one has returned to check on her, so she sends me a text to go get another size for her to try on. I found what she was looking for, since the store was practically a ghost town, and she was the only one in there I ran them in to her. As I was walking out the same employee that made eye contact with me waiting outside, was showing two women to the fitting room, she looks at me and very rudely yells across the room "sir you have to wait outside!" Seriously? I'm not in here because I want to be, I'm doing your job lady! Yelling across the room at me like I'm some pervert, especially in front of other customers is embarrassing to both myself and my fiancée. I'd understand if I was in there by myself, or had been in there waiting the whole time, but I wasn't and she knew that. And I'm willing to bet that had I been dressed "differently" me being in there wouldn't have been a problem in the first place. I now know why this place was all but deserted at 6 pm on a Saturday night.
